Quotes and terms of sale
The SITNIC catalogue allows you to explore products and request a quote. Your enquiry is intended to obtain information and a proposal suited to your needs: it is not an order and does not, by itself, create an obligation to purchase.
Requesting a quote
Specify the product, model or code, the quantity required and useful details about the destination and intended use. For bulky machinery, also explain access, handling and unloading conditions. This information allows the proposed supply to be assessed properly; missing details may require clarification before a proposal can be prepared.
Any automatic acknowledgement concerns receipt of the enquiry and does not constitute acceptance of an order. Preparing a quote may require checks on availability, accessories, configuration and transport.
Products and configurations
Before purchasing, the model, essential characteristics and included accessories must be identified precisely. Related products or catalogue variants may have different dimensions, performance and equipment. An enquiry about one model does not authorise its replacement with another without agreement.
For used goods, the proposal must concern the particular item actually offered, specifying its condition, included equipment and any known defects or limitations. Simply describing an item as “used” does not replace this information or remove statutory rights.
Prices and proposal terms
A price available on request is set out in the proposal. Before the customer becomes bound, quantities, configuration, amounts, VAT treatment, any transport or additional service charges and applicable terms must be clarified. A quote is valid for any period specified in the proposal; no single validity period for every product is set here.
Where the buyer is a consumer, pre-contractual information must include the total price including taxes and other charges payable or, where permitted, the method of calculation. Additional amounts cannot be introduced after the purchase without the necessary agreement.
Concluding the supply and payment
Any sales contract is separate from the request for a quote and is formed in accordance with the proposal and contractual communications accepted by the parties. Payment methods and deadlines must be communicated before the customer becomes bound. The applicable financial terms are those actually agreed, subject to mandatory legal provisions.
Delivery and transport
The destination, delivery dates, costs, unloading arrangements and any installation or commissioning services must be clarified in the proposal. Catalogue availability and delivery times are different matters. Particular requirements, such as an essential delivery date or restricted access for transport vehicles, should be explained before the contract is concluded.
For consumers, unless a different delivery period has been agreed, goods must be delivered without undue delay and no later than thirty days after the contract is concluded. Statutory remedies for delay remain applicable. Risk passes in accordance with the Italian Consumer Code and does not automatically transfer merely when goods are handed to the carrier.
Professional purchases and consumer rights
The applicable rules depend on the buyer’s status and the purpose of the purchase. A person buying for purposes outside their business, trade, craft or profession may benefit from mandatory consumer protections. The type of machinery alone does not exclude those protections.
Where applicable, information about withdrawal, the legal guarantee and related remedies must be provided before the contract, together with the other mandatory information. Professional sales are governed by the relevant provisions of the Italian Civil Code and validly concluded agreements. Nothing on this page limits mandatory rights.
