Terms of use
This information concerns browsing the SITNIC website and sending commercial enquiries. The terms of any supply must be identified in the relevant quotation and contractual communications. Browsing the catalogue or submitting a request for a quote does not, by itself, conclude a sale.
Browsing the catalogue
The catalogue helps you identify products, models, variants and documentation. To make your enquiry precise, provide the product code and the configuration you require. Essential characteristics, included equipment and supply terms must be clarified before purchase; one variant should not be confused with another simply because they belong to the same family.
If information appears incomplete or inconsistent, contact us before making a commitment. Correcting the catalogue does not automatically change a contract already concluded. Obligations concerning pre-contractual information, promised characteristics and the buyer’s rights remain unaffected.
Enquiries and communications
Provide accurate details and the information needed to understand your enquiry. Your contact details must allow you to receive clarification or a proposal. Avoid including unrelated personal information or documents that are not needed to assess the commercial enquiry.
The purposes and methods of processing personal data are described in the Privacy notice. Requesting a quote and any subscription to promotional communications are separate activities: the relevant requirements and the individual’s choices must be respected.
Content, trademarks and documentation
Trademarks, photographs, text and documentation may belong to SITNIC, manufacturers or other rights holders. Their use is subject to the relevant rights and applicable provisions. A trademark identifies the product or manufacturer and does not, by itself, establish any further commercial status or certification.
When choosing and using machinery, refer to the documentation relevant to the model and, where necessary, to the particular machine supplied. For used goods, condition, included equipment and available documents require an individual assessment. A general declaration of conformity cannot be inferred simply from a product’s presence in the catalogue.
Rules applicable to the purchase
The buyer’s status depends on the purpose of the transaction. Mandatory consumer protections remain applicable where the legal conditions are met; interest in a professional product alone does not exclude them. For quotes and supplies, also consult Quotes and terms of sale.
For professional purchases, protection against defects follows the relevant provisions of the Italian Civil Code and validly concluded agreements. Article 1490 concerns defects that make goods unsuitable for their intended use or appreciably reduce their value. As a general rule, subject to applicable exceptions, Article 1495 requires defects to be notified within eight days of discovery and provides for a one-year limitation period for the action, running from delivery. These rules do not replace the consumer’s legal guarantee.
Contractual terms and rights
General terms must be available for the other party to know before the contract is concluded. Clauses for which Article 1341 of the Italian Civil Code requires specific written approval must satisfy that requirement: simply browsing this page does not amount to specific approval.
Mandatory territorial jurisdiction rules for consumers remain unaffected. For withdrawal, returns and guarantees, consult Withdrawal, returns and guarantees.
Contact and reporting issues
For clarification about the content, to report errors or to ask about a proposal, use the Contact page. Keep communications relevant to any supply, together with the version of the terms received before the agreement.
