The Ergotest COMP 25 model is the most essential, robust and versatile version of the Galileo range. The measuring device consists of a dual-scale comparator with an 80 mm diameter dial, for standard and superficial Rockwell tests, with direct reading of the Rockwell unit and an estimated resolution of 0.2 Rockwell units.

By appropriately selecting the indenters and the set of weights, the COMP 25 model also allows indentations to be obtained using the Brinell and Vickers methods.

Brinell and Vickers indentation reading is performed through the optional optical kit available in the simple analogue or digital version which, thanks to the console supplied, allows configuration data entry and exporting measured values to different peripherals using the USB port or the LAN connection.

When properly equipped, the Ergotest COMP 25 models allow Rockwell tests on plastics according to ASTM D785 standard – procedure A – and standard Rockwell tests on metallic materials.
