Microdurometro MICROSCAN OD
Description
The Microscan microhardness tester range stands out mainly for its versatility of use, as these instruments feature a mobile body that can lift along the vertical screw axis at adjustable height and simultaneously rotate 180°, in order to also enable the measurement of large parts.
Thanks to the special design of the instrument, to ultra-high-quality objectives, and to the optimal optical path, the image of the indentation is incomparably sharp and bright.
Vickers hardness measurement is characterized by high precision and a wide field of applications. Often more convenient than other test methods, since the required calculations and procedures, as well as the related 136° diamond pyramid indenter, are suitable for all metals regardless of hardness.
This test is particularly suitable for thin materials, such as films, cables, surface treatments and small components. With the use of the appropriate indenter, the system also allows the determination of Knoop hardness.
The Microscan range consists of three main versions, operating in compliance with ISO standards (micro-hardness, low hardness and Vickers hardness) and ASTM standards (micro and macro-hardness).
Microscan OD microhardness testers allow automatic indentation generation, whose measurement is performed by manual collimation, through an opto-digital reading device with automatic determination of the microhardness value.
On all MICROSCAN microhardness testers, the modularity of the hardware, software and accessories supplied allows configuring systems with increasing levels of automation to meet every application need, ranging from research centers, to university engineering departments, to calibration laboratories, Quality Control departments, as well as a wide range of industrial applications.
The Microscan OD automatic column microhardness tester line allows the determination of Vickers and Knoop microhardness (optional) by measuring the indentation dimensions automatically generated by the device itself. Indentation measurement is performed manually using a high-precision digital micrometer eyepiece, with results displayed on an LCD screen.
Indentation generation is instead performed automatically, with electronic control of the test cycle. The entire cycle is carried out in compliance with ISO 6507-2 and ASTM E384 standards.
Automatic opto-digital reading system for measuring Vickers microhardness, from HV0.01 to HV1 (up to HV5 with optional loads) according to ISO 6507-2.
On request, an option is available for compliance with ASTM E384 & ASTM E92 standards. Determination of Knoop microhardness using the appropriate indenter.
