Beta U20R sharpening machine

All machines have a retractable spindle to allow use of the extended spindle for flat grinding operations. The wheelhead axis can rotate 360° in the horizontal plane and is tiltable by ±20° in the vertical plane. The wheelhead spindle has two ends for mounting the grinding wheel and can rotate in both directions for the “R” and “RI” versions, with the two fixed speeds, and for the “V” and “VI” versions, with a variable speed drive.

The longitudinal slide runs on a pair of preloaded cross-roller guides, in tempered steel, which ensures a high load capacity and prevents tipping at the end of travel.

The upper table is orientable by ±90° in the horizontal plane.

The dual controls make the machines easier to use for sharpening operations.

In the “RI” and “VI” models, the hydraulic equipment provides the longitudinal slide with automatic translational movement, with speed adjustable from 0.1 to 12 m/min.

A position limiter on the speed controller allows setting a feed speed so that the transition from the stop position to the selected working speed can be made instantly. On all models, it is possible to apply the horizontal command for the vertical movement.
